With the goal of placing Bogotá on the map as an ideal destination for international events, the Bogotá Convention Bureau has become a member for Cvent, the world’s largest online network for Event Suppliers.

Cvent is a free resource specifically designed for Event Planners to be able to have first hand access to the RPFs (Request for Proposal) of large Associations and Multinationals. Likewise, Cvent offers workshops for their users to be updated on the latest trends in the Event Tourism sector.

This Supplier Network was founded in 1999 and currently has more than 90,000 event marketing professionals and convention bureaus worldwide who manage thousands of events, statistics, surveys and email campaigns.

An Increase in Incoming RPFs for Bogotá

According to a report completed by Cvent, Colombia received 45 RFPs as possible events in 2011, which resulted in 10,572 nights of hotel occupancy. 25 of these events were assigned to Bogotá only, with a total of 4,773 nights.
