Bogotá, an ever changing city

The best plans to make and enjoy

Bogotá is known as a good city for business, and tourism is just as good. It is one of Latin America’s best kept secrets: unique, exciting, fun and always changing.

Surrounded by green mountains and changing colors and climates, the city of Bogotá is a perfect place for new experiences. It is setup to feel like many small towns in one large city, making for a truly unforgettable experience.

A history that goes back to the legend of El Dorado

In a matter of hours you can travel back to the 15th century and uncover the ancient legend of El Dorado. Then jump forward to the 18th century through a tour of the historic neighborhood of La Candelaria, an enchanting place with colorful houses, museums and colonial churches, and end your day back in the 21th century in the midst of modern office buildings.

Shopping for everyone

If you love shopping, you will enjoy the more than 50 shopping malls, handcraft markets and flea markets where you can find anything you can imagine. From the most internationally exclusive brands (Low, Bvulgary, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, etc), pieces by the most famous Colombian designers, leather, antiques and original handcrafts.

Urban attractions combine wonderfully with destinations outside the city. Being located one to three hours outside the city, they make great day trips.

Cuisine and Nightlife

Cuisine is booming in Colombia’s capital city. There are six different parts of the city where the best restaurants can be found offering traditional Colombian dishes and exquisite international fusion cuisine.

Nightlife offers different styles and ambiances, but they all have dancing and fun in common. Don’t miss out on Andrés Carne de Res which is considered by most as the home of Bogota’s “rumba”.

Nature just steps away from the great metropolitan

Urban attractions are wonderfully complemented by the beautiful landscapes outside the city: flower plantations, majestic haciendas and picturesque villages, the salt cathedral in Zipaquirá, the Neusa reservoir and the Chingaza national park that offers sailing, hiking, windsurfing, water skiing, mountain biking and rock climbing, among other great activities.

Golfing in Bogotá: what a swing!

Colombia is ranked second in South America for its golf courses, with 26 of them being located in Bogotá. Due to the altitude and the wind conditions, practicing the sport is a challenge that many love to take on.

The varieties in designs, clever challenges and course styles make Bogotá’s savanna a golfers paradise.
